My Travis Japan Concert Experience

The atmosphere was electric, with the crowd jumping so hard that the floor literally bounced. I was a bit scared but thrilled to witness such energy. My favorite song was "JUST DANCE!" but they surprised us with a secret Thai song by TimeThai, performed with sexy dance moves. I couldn't believe it! I interacted with many staff members and some Thai girls nearby, who agreed that there weren't many of us Thais in the audience.

As someone who works behind the scenes organizing shows, attending a concert as an audience member was a refreshing change. Last Saturday night, I had the opportunity to experience the electrifying energy of Travis Japan’s “Road to Authenticity” concert at Union Hall in Bangkok.

This was my first concert featuring Starto Entertainment talents (formerly known as Johnny’s), and I was surprised by the mix of Thai and Japanese fans. While I expected a larger Thai crowd, I learned that many Japanese fans come to Bangkok for these types of concerts because recording or filming is not allowed in Japan.

Despite not being able to secure VIP tickets, the organization was excellent. The venue was well-managed, and the crowd was enthusiastic and respectful. Although Union Hall 1 is not a large space, I felt incredibly close to the band, especially during the encore when all seven members came down to the audience at the back.

Travis Japan’s energy was contagious. Their powerful dance moves and captivating performances kept the crowd on their feet throughout the night. While the center LED screen was a bit small, the band cleverly used lighting effects to create a larger-than-life illusion.

One of the highlights of the concert was the surprise performance of a secret Thai song by TimeThai. The band’s ability to connect with the local audience in this way was truly impressive.

I was also fascinated by the interactive technology used at the concert. After the show, the audience was given a secret code to access an online platform where they could chat with the band members. Although the platform was still in its experimental stages, the pre-recorded responses from the members added a unique and personal touch to the experience.

Travis Japan’s talent and dedication are undeniable. Their commitment to reaching international audiences through English songs is commendable. I highly recommend attending one of their concerts to witness their incredible energy and professionalism firsthand.

I hope Travis Japan will return to Bangkok next year. This concert was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for a long time.

  • The secret code provided to the audience was a fascinating touch. It allowed us to connect with the band members through an online platform, where the site detected my voice and what I tried to say. In response, pre-recorded answers from the members played after I finished asking my question. It was a cute and experimental idea that added a unique dimension to the concert experience.
